What do You Value?

When was the last time you paused and really thought about what's important to you AND how well you're honoring those values? It's so easy to get bogged down in the day-to-day of just living that we often don't think about what makes us most fulfilled and helps us build the resilience needed to face those challenges that can drive us crazy any given day.
We often push aside the things that really matter to US in the effort to better support OTHERS in life, and that's not a sustainable way to live. For example, suppose that you absolutely love getting out in nature, maybe hiking in the woods or sitting on the beach at the ocean just listening to the waves. But you've neglected doing those things, maybe not intentionally, and you wonder why you're starting to feel like you're running on empty sometimes. I believe that if you take time for that hike - or even a quick walk - you'll find that you start feeling stronger and more able to take on the day, whatever it may bring. The same is true for the other things you value, like spending time with family and friends, being creative, or serving others.
